Treating yourself with kindness, understanding and care when things are hard is self-compassion, a strong evidence-based approach to emotional healing and psychological resilience. The training introduces clinicians to the theory, research and clinical uses of self-compassion practices. Drawing on mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy and positive psychology, it shows how self-compassion can lessen shame, aid trauma recovery and build clients’ ability to cope with life’s challenges. Experiential exercises, discussion and practical strategies teach you to guide clients toward a kinder inner dialogue and to bring these skills into daily life.
