This engaging, strengths-based training introduces clinicians to the key concepts, research, and applications of the positive psychology movement. Moving beyond a traditional focus on pathology, this webinar explores the science of well-being, resilience, optimism, gratitude, and meaning-making: core ingredients of psychological flourishing. Participants will learn how to incorporate evidence-based positive psychology interventions into their clinical work to support clients in building on their strengths, cultivating positive emotions, and enhancing life satisfaction. Emphasis will be placed on integrating these practices within diverse therapeutic orientations and tailoring them to each client’s unique contextual realities.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to
- Describe the foundational principles and goals of positive psychology as a scientific and clinical discipline.
- Identify at least three empirically supported positive psychology interventions that can be integrated into therapy.
- Implement a strengths-based framework to support clients in enhancing well-being, resilience, and life meaning.
