This beginner-level webinar introduces EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a therapy method often chosen for trauma and other painful experiences. You will review where EMDR came from, how it developed and the theory behind it. The session outlines where it fits clinically, for example PTSD, anxiety and grief, and what safe, ethical, culturally responsive use requires. It is built for mental health professionals deciding whether to pursue further training, and it supports informed care of clients in trauma-focused work. Note that this course does not train you to practice EMDR.
