The National Human Trafficking Hotline has received nearly half a million contacts since it began in 2007, and human trafficking continues to rise in the United States. Survivors often live with profound, complex psychological trauma, which makes trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health care urgently needed. This foundational training covers both labor trafficking and sex trafficking. Participants deepen their understanding of the dynamics and nuances of trafficking, learn to recognize the signs, build skills for assessing risk, and look at therapeutic approaches that effectively support survivors.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to
