Effective communication is key to inclusive leadership. This workshop will address key topics within Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, addressing specific ways to engage in anti-racism work and challenge biases. In addition, ways to help with accountability measures and integration of the content into actionable items are provided.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to
- DEIB: What do all these letters mean? Define common language and distinguish diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and articulate necessary steps to begin this work.
- Compare and contrast overt and covert racism, microaggressions, and implicit biases and ways to combat their presence.
- Develop skills to navigate sensitive conversations around race and biases.
- Describe the impact of intersectional identities and ways to move beyond performance into action.
