Gratitude is an evidence-based intervention with real power to build emotional resilience, improve client well-being and advance therapeutic goals, and this two-hour training explores it. Theory and practice come together as you learn the psychological and neurological benefits of gratitude, including less stress, better emotional regulation and healthier relationships. Research-based frameworks show how to adapt gratitude work for different clients, among them those facing trauma, anxiety or depression.

Experiential exercises let you bring gratitude into your own life and see its effects firsthand. You will also try gratitude journaling, letter writing and mindfulness activities that can be used in session to build rapport and strengthen clients’ sense of purpose and connection. You finish with practical tools for adding gratitude to clinical work, to the benefit of your practice and your own outlook.

Because the training is experiential, please keep a notebook nearby.
