This foundational workshop gives participants a deeper picture of how complicated grief and loss can be. Taking a warm, informative tone, it describes grief in all its forms and surveys familiar types and causes, among them death, divorce, losing a job and other life changes. Learners study leading grief models, including the stages and paths people may follow, along with interventions that support healing. Emotional, physical, cognitive and behavioral reactions to grief are covered in range to build awareness and empathy. The webinar offers hands-on tools and thoughtful viewpoints for supporting grieving people with sensitivity and respect.
