This training provides an introduction to Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based, empirically validated treatment approach for working with couple distress. EFT uses an attachment framework and outlines key relationship dances and stances reinforcing relationship stuckness. It also provides a map that clinicians can use when working with couples to identify these dances and how to employ interventions that shift interactional cycles.  The goal is to facilitate couple bonding and create lasting change. Participants will learn the basics of this model and identify how to practice mapping a relationship dance.
